NOC VSAT/Hub Engineer (257ww) - Hawthorne Corsham - 6 Month Contract (Possible Extension) - £ Circa £50 per hour Umbrella, £37.80 PAYE

A vacancy for a NOC VSAT/HUB ENGINEER has arisen within our Client’s site based in Hawthorn.
Current SC Clearance has to be in place before the candidate starts. British Nationals only
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the NOC Team Lead you will be responsible for:
Day to day operation management and rectification of the IDS Network from the Network Operations Centre and designated IDS Server sites
Operation and management of NOC IP Network
Day to day management and operation of NOC services.
Skills & Experience
• Have a good, working knowledge of TCP/IP and some routing.
• Hands on CCNA level Cisco courses.
• Ability to work in a small team of 3 engineers.
• Experience of dealing with telephone customers
• Positive, dynamic approach and able to work alone during on call.
• Satellite VSAT communications knowledge desirable.
Education & Training
A business-related degree or equivalent is desirable.
Working Pattern
Monday to Friday days (37Hours)
Extension of Contract
Possible extension after initial contract duration
Base of Work
Hawthorn Corsham
Days on site 5 days per week, may be asked to cover on call occasionally - £30 per day week days, £50 per day Evenings or weekends.

One stage interview – virtual- or -One stage interview – on site
Clearance
The successful candidate will be required to apply for and receive a basic disclosure certificate prior to commencement of the contract.

The cost of the application is only recoverable from the client once the contractor has started and that recovery of costs is via the expense process.
The successful candidate will be required to pass BPSS security clearance before confirmation of contract offer.
The successful candidate will also be required to have a current SC clearance that is transferred before commencement of the contract.
