Unit Manager RGN

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse Unit Manager to join a Nursing Home which is based in Coventry.

The 60 bedded home provides nursing and social care for people living with physical disabilities and mental health problems such as dementia. The unit that you will be managing is an Intensive Care Unit.

The successful Manager will receive a competitive salary of £18.00 per hour with additional great benefits.

Your role will be to manage a Unit and lead a team of nurses and carers to ensure the highest quality of care is given.

As a Unit Manager you will be expected to:

• Ensure the highest possible standards of care - continually assessing residents' needs and wishes, developing services to enhance their quality of life.
• Champion independence and personal choice; developing, reviewing and updating care plans to meet our clients changing physical, social and psychological needs.
• Oversee all aspects of medicine management – ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered to our clients.
• Set in place rigorous monitoring and recording practice; documenting efficiently, and thoroughly all matters relating to our residents and employees.
• Proactively monitor all standards of care; undertaking audits and implementing corrective action where appropriate.
• To assist with all people management duties, including but not exclusively; recruitment, training and career development, performance management and effective delegation of duties.

To be considered for this role you must be qualified as a NMC Registered Nurse with management and nursing care experience.
