Health Visitor
A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Health Visitor to join a team who are focused on clinical excellence! Your days will be rewarding and varied and include offering support to children and families and empowering them to reach their full potential. You will be covering the Lancaster area
**You must have a current active NMC Pin and a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing qualification**
As a Health Visitor your key responsibilities include:
· To work within the Lancashire Health Young People and Family Services , working within and across organisational boundaries
· To provide a high quality Health visiting service to a defined population in accordance with Trust policies and priorities
· To deliver individualized care and support to clients, within the framework of the ‘Healthy Child Programme’
· To understand the concept of Clinical Governance and be skilled in the identification, assessment and protection of vulnerable children and families
· To exhibit excellence in the standards for Specialist Community Public Health Nursing/Health
· Visiting practice, and to be an effective teacher and role model for others to aspire to
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
· You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, and Excel
· A passion and drive to help ensure that children have the best possible start in life
· You will have a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car for work use
· Experience in leading and working in health visiting teams
· Experience in leading interventions to improve outcomes and safeguard children and families
· Working knowledge of the tools and programmes used in health visiting to improve outcomes for children
