An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Nurse to work
in an amazing surgery based in the Southampton, Hampshire area. As a Nurse you
will be working for one of UK’s leading laser eye surgery specialists

&nbsp;

This is one of UK and Ireland’s number one provider of laser eye
surgery and private lens surgery

&nbsp;

**To
be considered for this you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a valid
NMC Pin or qualified as an ODP with a HCPC registration**

&nbsp;

As a Theatre Nurse your key
duties include:

·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Supporting the surgery manager and assisting
with infection control audits

·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Ensuring that all patients proceeding to surgery
have had the opportunity to understand the potential risks and benefits of
treatment

·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Playing a leading role in ensuring all Patient Journeys
are completed with the utmost care, empathy and service that excels all Patient
expectations

·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
To work within the team to ensure that ‘file
preparation’ prior to the treatment day is carried out in order to minimise
potential complications, cancellations/ postponement by being able to recognise
patient suitability

·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team in order
to ensure outstanding issues are addressed prior to surgery

·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Patients are discharged from surgery with the
appropriate prescribed medication and advice, including emergency contact
numbers and follow up care has been arranged

healthcare/refractive surgery

The successful Nurse will receive
an excellent salary £35,000 - £40,000 per annum. This exciting position is a
Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and
