An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed Sister to work with one of the UK’s leading health care providers. As a Sister you will be joining an exceptional care home based in Belfast.
The special care team offers nursing care for those who have complex medical needs, as well as 24-hour nursing dementia care provided by specialist teams trained in the complexities of looking after those living with dementia, who may also have other long-term medical conditions. They also provide respite care to give family or friends a well-earned break.
As the Sister your day to day duties include:
· Responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans.
· Participating in a range of assessments including risk and self-harm.
· Supervising a designated number of Health Care Assistants and students.
· Assisting in standard setting and evaluating quality outcomes.
· Being expected to take charge of the ward/unit in the absence of the person with continuing responsibility, under the direction of senior staff.
· Working as a Primary/Named/Key Worker advising and supporting junior colleagues.
· Maintaining good standards of communication, both oral and written, in accordance with NMC guidance.
· Responsibility for reporting to the Ward Manager any circumstances that may affect the delivery of care and/or efficient running of the ward.
· Providing supervision to other staff, qualified and unqualified.
An ideal Sister must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:
· A flexible attitude and wholly adopt a person centred ethos
· Be up to date with current practices
· Strong leadership skills
· Willing to take ownership for the delivery of quality care
· Must hold a current registration with NMC and have a legal right to work in the UK
· At least 2 years experience in a similar role
· Able to show a can-do attitude always

To be considered for this position you must be qualified Nurse either RGN, RMN or RNLD
