Nurse Deputy Home Manager
An incredible new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Nurse Deputy Home Manager to work in an exceptional care home based in the Kitt's Green, Birmingham area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading healthcare providers
This care home offers nursing care over two floors and residential care on the top floor aiming to give compassionate support both to those who have had to give up
**To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin**As the Nurse your key responsibilities include:
· Be responsible for monitoring standards of care delivered by qualified and unqualified care staff by observation and direct involvement, ensuring that all residents receive quality person centred care and that care plans are fully maintained
· Support the Manager in the implementation of all policies, procedures and business objectives
· Preparing the staff duty rota to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times
· Instructing staff in safe systems of work, fire safety and evacuation procedures, as well as inducting new staff
· Be responsible for monitoring each resident's state of wellbeing and being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, updating to reflect new needs
· Act as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their well-being, acting upon requests and ensuring concerns or complaints are dealt with appropriately
· Liaise with the Home Manager across the range of operational activity to be able to assume responsibility for managing the Home during the manager’s scheduled and unscheduled absences, including marketing of the Home to existing and potential residents and relatives
· Develop and maintain positive relationships with all residents, family, visitors and colleagues
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
· Experienced in quality and clinical governance programmes, including audit and care services
· Able to support and guide others in line with the NMC Code, following its guidance at all times
· Experienced in working in the healthcare sector
· Driven and motivated and believe in quality care
· An energetic, committed and approachable manager
· An inspiring leader who can motivate teams through obvious passion and commitment
· A natural networker with both internal and external stakeholders
· Proud to be a custodian of their residents well-being
The successful Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £21.00 per hour and the annual salary is £43,680 per annum.
