We are currently looking for an experience Nurse Unit Manager .

This is a purpose-built nursing home, in Newtownabbey for over 60 older people. We support people with physical and dementia needs who require assistance and care.

The Unit Manager should be a registered nurse with a live NMC pin.  They should be committed to the delivery of care of our service users within the service; have a person centred focus; knowledge and experience of the regulatory standards; the ability to use initiative; excellent communication skills; and be committed to quality assurance. The Unit Manager will be heading up a unit with over 30 residents and be able to support their staff team in delivering safe, effective and compassionate care whilst ensuring the service is well-led.  They will be responsible for auditing and monitoring of the unit whilst following robust systems and processes.

Working alongside the Unit Manager the successful candidate will be required to line manage a team of staff and have knowledge, understanding and experience of relevant legislation ensuring they comply with the requirements of CQC and other statutory regulators. As Unit Manager you will take pride in providing the highest standards of care to all residents and manage the Service to the highest standards, ensuring the people who use our services can be supported to live as independently as possible and achieve their goals.
