

Psychologist
A great new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Psychologist to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Edgbaston, Birmingham area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
This special hospital is a rehabilitation and recovery service for females with complex mental health needs, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorders. Some may have co-morbid conditions such as mild learning disabilities, alcohol and drug use and borderline personality disorder
As the Psychologist your key responsibilities include:
· Be responsible for providing high quality clinical assessments
· You will support with the delivery of a full ward programme which will include facilitating groups and managing a case load of patient for individual therapy sessions
· Use a range of psychological therapies including dialectical behavioural therapy
· Will be involved in Risk Assessments and Management
· Delivering full programme for groups and individuals for therapy primarily using DBT/CBT, Risk Assessments and Management
· Work creatively and flexibly to develop and implement innovative practice and service developments as well as working from established evidence base
· Will be supported by an Assistant Psychologist and you will be responsible for their clinical supervision
· Responsible for completing patient reports, inputting data on care notes, completing 16 week timetable
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
· Minimum of 2 years experience in working in mental health services
· Promote good communication skills written and verbally
· Ensure audit compliance (CQC)
· Able to show a can-do attitude always
The successful Psychologist will receive an excellent salary of £50,000 pro rata DOE. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 30 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
