A Ward Manager position has opened for a Registered Nurse with Managerial experience to join a a Rehabilitation located in Edgbaston.
The service is a 20 bedded Hospital for women over the age of 18 who suffer from mental illnesses or personality disorder with complex needs.
The successful candidate will receive an excellent salary of £39,780 per annum with great additional benefits.
The role:
The Ward Manager will lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practice; with particular reference to the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. They will also assist in leading and monitoring the performance and work of nursing staff; supervising the work of Staff Nurses, HCAs and student nurses. Ward Manager will deputise for the Clinical Director in their absence.
To provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership to the ward nursing team. To be responsible for the day-to-day management of the wards. To ensure a high standard of evidence-based nursing care is consistently delivered to patients. To ensure that a safe, cost effective service is provided. To act as a role model and patient advocate, ensuring a positive patient experience for all. To be responsible for Information Governance standards.
Role requirements:
• Qualified RMN with a minimum of 2 years experience in a managerial role and to ensure audit compliant.
• Flexible to work weekends and bank holidays.
• Promote good relationships with patient, relatives, public, other care organisations and all members of the multidisciplinary care team.
• To ensure audit compliance (CQC).
• Promote good communication skills written and verball
