Technical Coordinator (036dm) – Hinkley Point (Nr Bridgwater) - £29000

Our client is looking for a Technical Coordinator to join their team at Hinkley Point.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.

They will be reporting to the HPC Engineering Supervisor, the Technical Coordinator will be part of a team consisting of System, Service and Projects Engineers.
This specific role is one that starts off with working closely with the Systems Engineer and the customer to ensure all activities are covered — mostly administrative and customer focussed but will grow as time progresses into a more technical role via training and experience.

The team is responsible for:
-Remedial Maintenance - Responding to customer reported incidents via the NOC within an SLA framework, ensuring all incidents are resolved or service restored within SLA.
-Minor Works - Ensuring customers requests (Moves, Adds, Changes or Cancellations) are delivered within expected timeframes
-Preventative Maintenance (PMIs) — Completing PMIs to a planned schedule including customer equipment audits, equipment triage, cosmetic repairs & equipment programming
-Vehicle Installations/maintenance — Installation/maintenance of communication equipment into motorized & non-motorised vehicles.
-Tower and Crane Installations/maintenance — Installation/maintenance of communication equipment into cranes.
-Project delivery — Assist with System Engineering tasks as required to agreed timescales and standards.
-Administration and management of local Maintenance and Customer assets - Liaising with key customer contacts to schedule work

The technology scope is split between Radio and cellular based equipment with additional service scope including Unified Comms, Network, Wireless and M2M-related technologies that form part of shared platforms or dedicated solutions for customers. This role will work closely with other Operational functions to ensure that multi-technology solutions are delivered and supported seamlessly for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
-Work closely with the customer and subcontractors to deliver contractual services. Work as part of a team covering all incident tickets raised.
-Ensure that the overall performance of Service meets: customer service level requirements & Service performance targets. To assist in the delivery of Engineering projects where required and complete in agreed
timescales and to industry standards
-Maintaining customer satisfaction as per set targets and objectives
-Maintain a strong relationship with our key client and with their direct customers Ensuring HR procedures are followed.
-Ensure each all functions within Service operate in compliance with all SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality) & legal.
-Work with peers to ensure optimal delivery
-Ensure all activities are completed in conjunction with BMS (Business Management System)
-Ensure all requested project activity is documented as per requirements.
-Ensure all service requests are raised on ticketing system (Salesforce Service Cloud) and are completed in a timely manner against our SLA's
-As requested, attend and complete service tickets received from the NOC in a timely manner to meet customer SLA.
-Programming radios - handheld, mobile and POC - for deployment on site
-Triage and repair faulty hand portable radios
-Check radio room and extract log files for review Maintain perfect records and assets on site
-Update the radio accessories catalogue
-To deliver and assist in Projects as requested. This includes the installation and maintenance of vehicle and crane radios, telemetry devices and all Moves Additions and Changes (MAC) such as delivery and training
of radio equipment.
-To complete all training as required including onsite requirements to gain required access
-Ensure all timesheets are completed and submitted in a timely manner. Ensure all expenses are completed and submitted in a timely manner
-Cover for annual leave / sickness / training for other team members.
-Ensure company vehicles are kept to an appropriate level of cleanliness to promote the standard when in the customer environment.
-To comply with all working practices as per the Operators Manual.
-Ensure Point of Work Risk Assessments are completed before any work commences. Uphold the company image at all times

Key Qualifications and Experience.
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Excellent administration and documentation skills. Excellent IT skills
-Excellent client facing skills with very strong verbal & written communication
-Full understanding of site roles and responsibilities
-Full understanding of services to be delivered to the customer, able to work under own initiative and also within a team environment
-Clean driving license
-Experience of working under pressurized situations in delivering service & response activities where strict SLA's are to be met.
-Available 5 year employment / gap history to enable gaining an airside pass CSCS card (Green) an advantage

As role progresses into technical requirements:
Background in a hands-on technical role with installation/maintenance of technology.
