Contract Project Manager (141lw) – Pharmaceuticals –Cambridge - 6-monthly (renewable) £400-450/day (outside IR35)

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Human Biological Samples (HBS) Transformation Programme within a Pharmaceutical organisation. The HBS Transformation is a three-year programme to maximise the value of every HBS sample to accelerate novel scientific insights whilst always ensuring our client do the right thing. The program has five projects.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.

Key accountabilities will include:
• Managing a complex project to deliver to time, cost and quality:
o Creation and management of the project plan to track and drive delivery of milestones
 Plans to include activities, milestones, dependencies and resources
o Manage new requests and priorities for assessments which may require changes in process or ways of working
o Manage the central repository for all assessment programme data to enable easy access to information and documentation
o Create and manage project RAID log including quality of deliverables and drive mitigating actions with specific teams
o Create regular progress reports to demonstrate progress to differing audiences
o Track resources both internal and external and raise requisitions for external support as required
• Drive process simplification and standardisation across the assessment programme to maximise efficiencies and establish best practice
• Work in close collaboration with the Project and Workstream Leads to ensure project plans are aligned and delivered.
• Meetings and updates:
• Lead and contribute to regular check-ins and updates to ensure all key stakeholders are updated and informed
• Ensure accurate actions, decisions and risks are captured, circulated and followed up as required
• Ensure all stakeholder groups are communicated to with regards to progress and actions required.

Essential Skills
• Strong Project Management experience (ideally in Pharma – Lab re location / setups or Human Biological Samples, or Compliance and Regulations around Bio Samples)
• Experience in creation and management of project plans. Creation and manage project RAID log. Manage a central repository for all assessment programme data. Management of new requests & progress reports. Understand project dependencies
• Expert understanding of Project Management techniques, tools and principles
• Experience working collaboratively in a global team. Strong stakeholder management people & communication skills
• Professional project management qualification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner) or demonstrable experience managing similar projects
