Tool Store Custodian (398ww) - Brize Norton - Contract – 12 months (Probable extension) - £22.49 per hour Umbrella - £17.00 hour PAYE
Our client manufactures and sells commercial aircraft and has separate Defence and Space and Helicopters divisions. Developing and selling to the military aviation market and private sectors
Our client is looking for Tool Store Custodian to join the team at Brize Norton
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.
Main Responsibilities
To control and ensure all tooling and equipment is accounted for to support the Companies Military (UK) Part 145 Line Maintenance and Workshop approval and additionally meet the needs of the Maintenance and Repair Organisation.
Working Hours
5-5-4 Family Friendly Shift
12 hours per day including night shifts.
Job Purpose
To Support the HO Maintenance Services under the Maintenance Integrator control to ensure that all necessary tooling and equipment required to support the Companies Military contracts are accounted for, controlled and managed. This includes:
• Be trained and competent in using the TCMax system.
• Carry out 100% inventory check of the store including MMTs against the system at each handover of responsibilities.
• Complete required paperwork for governance of the store including zonal checks at set periods determined by the controlling procedure.
• Ensure when issuing equipment and tooling that a 100% content check is carried out.
• Ensure when receiving back equipment and tooling that a 100% content check is carried, the items are serviceable, any consumables are replenished as required and that the items are clean and not damaged.
• Manage all kits with multiple items ensuring they are sealed using a tag once accepted.
• Ensure all items returning as U/S (Unserviceable) are clearly marked with a U/S label, quarantined, and highlighted to the Maintenance Integrator
• Ensure all items out of calibration are clearly marked with a U/S label and quarantined.
• Controlling the access rights to the bonded tool store
• Report any abnormalities to Line Operation SLE for immediate investigation.
Ensure all tools are cleared on TCMax for the applicable aircraft before returning the aircraft MTT.
Technical Knowledge

Clearance
The successful candidate will be required to apply for and receive a basic disclosure certificate prior to commencement of the contract.

The successful candidate will be required to pass BPSS security clearance before confirmation of contract offer.
The successful candidate will also be required to have a current SC clearance that is confirmed before start date and successfully transferred on commencement of the contract.
