Compressed Air Engineer (155jc) – Chessington, Surrey - £30 to 45k depending on experience
My client, who were established in the early 90’s and is one of the regions leading players in the field of high efficiency, high reliability compressed air systems. They operate across the whole of London, the South and the South-East of England.

You will be reporting to the Service Manager, and you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of air compressors (reciprocating, rotary vane, and rotary screw), refrigerant and desiccant air dryers, pipework and associated fittings and generally meet the daily service maintenance and repair needs of the customer’s equipment. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers as well as perform necessary reporting, administrative duties as required and other duties as assigned.
As part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for the servicing of the compressor systems which includes working with belts, drives, piping, and electrical control boards. You will also get involved with large scale installations of products based at customer sites, and this can be heavy manual work, you will need to be physically fit, as you will be involved with installation of pipe and duct work.
The ideal candidate will therefore have a good amount of mechanical experience and have knowledge of electrical wiring and diagrams.

The Person:
• Experienced Service Engineer
• Good mechanical engineering experience
• Electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition
• Experience of electrical wiring
• Live within the Home Counties
Some knowledge of Compressed Air Sector would be ideal, and this role would suit someone from a Royal Navy engineer, or similar from the Army or RAF.
In return they are offering an excellent package which starts at £30 to 45k depending on experience, individuals with 18 month to 2 years’ experience you will be starting at £30 and for £45k you will need 5 + years’ experience with compressed air systems, also with overtime, bonus, pension, and van and an on call allowance of £150 per week (1 week in 5) you can earn significantly more.
