Support Engineers (304dm) - Hybrid 3 days on site – Chippenham- Up to £34k
Our client is after a Support Engineer that is local to Chippenham and must be able to drive as may be called in at short notice and also will need to visit customer sites. There is also an on-call rota 1:5. It's mainly a 2nd line support role working on planned works – system changes, software upgrades, and product upgrades.
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.
The client is looking for experience, working knowledge or awareness of ITIL, Cisco, MS Server and 1st or 2nd line.
The team is responsible but limited to triage and investigation of raised incidents while further supporting the 1st line support teams.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• To provide a Triage function for all DS3000 incidents logged by the customer
• To deal with Incidents or Problems that have been passed to CSS Department.
• To install new technical or software requirements as defined by customers, (otherwise understood as planned Changes or Variation Orders).
• To follow procedures in line with company policy (i.e. Local Procedures or ISO20000-1 defined processes) and suggest and follow-up improvements in line with CSIP.
• To provide technical support to 1st line Field Engineers.
• To provide technical\non-technical support to users.
• To provide technical support to external customer engineering staff.
The role includes a requirement to join the on-call rota responsible for supporting 24/7 contracts. Product training will be provided before the candidate is expected to work alone.
Our ideal candidate will have/be:
• Have significant experience in a previous role.
• ITIL Experience
• Cisco Certification.
• Microsoft Certification
• Must be able to Multitask
• Good technical understanding and be willing to learn.
• Full UK driving Licence.
