Occupational Therapist
An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Occupational Therapist to work in an exceptional care centre based in the Daventry, Northamptonshire area. As an Occupational Therapist you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.
This special service provides specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries.
As an Occupational Therapist your day to day duties include:
· Undertaking assessments of daily living skills to identify level of support needed
· Planning, implementing and evaluating individual treatment and rehabilitation plans
· Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team, communicating effectively to ensure information is disseminated through the whole team
· Attending handover meetings, MDT meetings and Care Plan review meetings and feedback any information to the therapy team
· Maintaining timely concise clinical records, daily notes, care plans and provide reports for patient's care plan reviews
· Liaising with relatives and carers with empathy giving information, support and advice as required
· Directly supporting therapy assistants ensuring professional lines of accountability and priorities are met and that all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to
An ideal Occupational Therapist must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:
· Knowledge of Healthcare environment
· Understanding of Mental Health diagnosis
· Good communication skills
· Organised / Confident
· Undertaken projects or work remotely or individually
· Communication Skills
· Ability to complete assessments and reports
· Understanding of Budgets
· Good interpersonal skills
· Able to contribute to the planning of care
· Previous experience in working within a care environment
· Experience within a rehabilitation setting
The successful Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent annual salary of £17,994.60 per annum. This exciting position is a Part Time role working 22.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
