Engineering Project Manager (139jc) – Hybrid Role - £45 – 50k + Car + benefits
My client, who have been established for over 30 years now are now seeking to recruit an additional Project Manager to join their team due to an increase in customers.
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.
You will be reporting to the Engineering Director and you role will be to liaise with customers, supplier and engineers to make sure that all contracts are delivered on time and to budget, and dealing with any issues as they arise.
Therefore, your main tasks will consist of:
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers re deliveries and availability and raise required purchase orders.
• Produce programmes for installation works.
1. Produce H&S documents including, Construction Phase Plan, Risk and Method Statements, Toolbox talks as well as ensuring correct welfare facilities available and conducting site H&S inductions.
• Attend customer meeting as required by the customer.
• Site management, which includes site safety and site audits, to ensure installation quality and performance.
• Ensuring the Engineers’ have been issued with the correct tools and PPE and are using it.
• Monitoring works against the programme
• Liaise with other trades to sequence our works effectively.
• Coordinate with tester to ensure the lifts are ready for test.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as necessary and prepare monthly financial summary reports and manage project costs through to the financial close out of the project and approval of Engineers holidays and overtime.
To be eligible for this role you will need the following:
• Good Communications skills, being able to deal with customer representatives, suppliers,’ and engineers.
• Basic IT skills, specifically, MS Word, Excel, and Project. Reasonable literary and numerate skills
• Construction Industry Experience Man-management experience
• Lift knowledge would be a benefit.
• Presentable appearance.
• Project Management, NEBOSH and or ISOH qualifications would be an advantage.
The ideal candidate would be someone who has a strong engineering background and who has proven man management experience behind them, so the ideal candidate would probably be SNCO or Officer level from an engineering background.
As a Project Manager, your role will be a hybrid role and your patch will cover London and the South East, and you will be working from Home, company offices either in London or Farnborough and clients sites as necessary.
In return they are offing a good starting salary up to £50k to start, with an annual performance bonus of up to 10%, electric company car scheme, which has no personal tax implication, private medical healthcare, 25 days leave + Bank Holidays and company pension scheme which is a 4% company and 4% personal contribution.
