Occupational Therapist
An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to work in an exceptional hospital setting based in the Gainsborough, Lincolnshire area. As a Occupational Therapist you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.
This special service provides a full treatment pathway for those requiring rehabilitation, and we focus on patients learning new skills, embedding these in everyday life, progressing to maintenance of skills that are necessary for community living, as well as reducing risk behaviours and promoting health and quality of life.
As an Occupational Therapist your day to day duties include:
· Carry out OT assessments to identify patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate interventions on either an individual or group basis.
· Manage and co-ordinate individual OT treatment plans, facilitate groups and oversee the unit programmes.
· Write up regular OT reports and to attend multi-disciplinary meetings.
· Ensure effective and efficient management of occupational therapy assistants.
· Provide clinical supervision to member of the occupational therapy team.
· Develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues ensuring clinical practice is in line with policies and procedures and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards.
· Maintain effective communication links with patients, relatives and carers.
An ideal Occupational Therapist must have these skills and experiences as they are beneficial for this position:
· HCPC registration is essential
· Previous experience in mental health
· Good communication skills and a flexible approach are essential
· Able to show a can-do attitude always
The successful Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent annual salary from £28,500 - £30,000 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
