Enhanced DV Cleared Programme Manager (249dm) - Hybrid Vacancy – Malvern – £60000 - £70000 DOE

Our client delivers innovative technology solutions to help their partners protect national interests.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.

They are mission focused, and thrive on bringing together a blend of engineering, scientific and technology related experts.
You will lead a portfolio of work that includes a mix of research, proof-of-concept development, delivery of bespoke solutions, and technical consultancy. In doing so, you will bring together the best the company has to offer from its engineering specialists in software, hardware, communications and data collection.

They need somebody who has strong P3M skills, along with commercial awareness and an ability to forge long lasting relationships.
This post requires a level of national security vetting; therefore, they require somebody with an existing level of clearance.

Key Accountabilities
• Deliver portfolio outcomes (customer satisfaction, orders, revenue, margin).
• Lead engagement with customers, partners and suppliers.
• Ensure suitable governance and controls are in place to manage risk; always conscious of operating in a Safe & Secure manner.
• Lead resource planning – managing demand forecasts, supporting recruitment and retention plans, and making prioritisation decisions.
•Ensure accurate management information is generated, maintained and reported.

Key Skills/Knowledge
•Leadership; being able to establish the vision and direction for the portfolio.
•P3M; understanding how to manage projects, programmes and portfolios to achieve successful outcomes; therefore experienced in making trade-off decisions to balance cost/schedule/scope.
•Stakeholder Management; being able to identify, plan and implement actions to positively engage parties with an interest in, or influence over, the portfolio outcomes.
•Teamwork; being able to create an environment where a group of people with diverse personalities, skills, experiences and perspectives are empowered to collaborate towards a common goal.
•Human Resource Management; supporting functional teams (including HR) to develop and manage our people in line with legal requirements and company policy.
•Commercial Management; able to identify and apply different contracting approaches; understanding of commercial risks and methods to mitigate them.
•Business Development; building trusted relationships that enable follow-on sales to be generated and new leads to be identified; ability to understand our customer’s challenges.

Experience & Qualifications
•Experience leading portfolios, programmes or complex projects to different customers.
•P3M qualifications.
•Use of P3M and business management software/data to drive decision making.
•Understanding of Defence and National Security industries.
•Delivery of technology focused research and solutions.
•Experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams.
•Ability to manage a breadth of internal and external relationships.
