Endoscopy Nurse/Practitioner
An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Endoscopy Nurse/Practitioner to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Halesowen, West Midlands area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
The hospital offers a wide range of treatments and services. They have two theatres one with Lamina flow, and cover a wide range of surgical specialities; these include Orthopaedics, General surgery, Gynaecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Cosmetic and urology
As the Endoscopy Nurse/Practitioner your key responsibilities include:
· Prepare and administer drugs/fluids and monitor patient in line with Company Policy
· Ensure safe monitored care is given at all times and written documentation is done clearly in a timely manner
· Escalate any cause for concern or complaints appropriately. Reporting any incidents to Riskman and endoscopy lead
· Comply and implement Ramsay Policies, SOP’S and procedures at all times
· Preserve a safe environment for the safe delivery of endoscopy and flexible endoscope decontamination
· Monitor patient’s condition during procedure ensuring pain, anxiety and level of consciousness remain in safe measures. Take appropriate action if complications arise
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
· Experience in endoscopy setting/qualification in endoscopy and decontamination
· Previous experience in therapeutic endoscopy including ‘on call bleed service’
· Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
· Experience of applying reasoning skills across a range of skills including clinical and decontamination
· Ability to work in and as part of team
