Pre-Sales Technical Specialist

 

Key skills and experience:

• Computer literate with knowledge of programming languages such as: C/C++, Java or .Net Development.

• Applications are welcomed from Pre-sales Engineers, Sales Engineers or Technical Solutions Developers.

• Experience with Web Services, PHP, XML, CSS and HTML advantageous.

• Multiple operating system experience, such as Windows (all) and Linux, as well mobile operating systems, such as iOS and Android.

• Degree or equivalent in a related subject such as: Computer Science, Electronic Engineering.

• Strong presentation skills.

• Numerate, analytical and logical approach to problem solving with outstanding communication skills both verbal and written.

• Ability to effectively troubleshoot customer issues and analyse logs where applicable.

• Use an innovative approach to optimize reports and analysis.

• Proven experience in a related job role using UPOS (JavaPOS, OPOS), ESC/POS is preferred.

•  A second language after English is a definite advantage, preferably Main European Languages, Russian and/or Arabic.

 

We are a leading Global technology firm that is looking for a Technical Pre-Sales specialist.

 

We are recruiting for a high-level Pre-Sales Technical Specialist to support our local sales and pre-sales teams across EMEAR, focussing on the delivery of major projects and customer solutions.  This will include understanding customer requirements, including third party software and solutions, align and place them in scope with our product portfolio and to provide solutions meeting and exceeding customer needs, whilst also bringing this market feedback/insight into the new product development cycle.  Product groups include: label, document management, retail & hospitality, banking and airline solutions.

There will be a need to work flexible hours and travel across EMEAR on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities

•                 To develop an understanding of customer’s requirements, and formulate a product / system proposal based on Company sales strategy and product potential. Delivering more value to customers at better margins through optimally defined solutions.

•                 Responsible to scope software/ hardware requirements and desired outcomes, and working with relevant departments in local sales office, Europe and Asia to deliver the required solution; includes maintaining a high level of communication across functional groups and managing milestones.

•                 Engage in active communication with key end-users, SI’s and ISV’s, always in-line with defined commercial requirements from sales development group.

•                 Support regional pre-sales/ sales structure, with product information, RFP’s, training and updates in line with launch and throughout product life cycle.

•                 Provide Technical Support expertise to sales exhibitions and events, either managed centrally or in-conjunction with region.

•                 Develop bespoke demonstration software or hardware documentation for Sales departments.

•                 Evaluate new products / software, identifying potential problems and provide input to Product Management team.
