Tissue Viability Nurse
An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Tissue Viability Nurse to work in an exceptional neurological centre based in the Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire area. You will be working for one of UK's leading healthcare providers
This care home provides accommodation and treatment for people with complex long term neurological conditions, brain or spinal injuries
**To be considered for this position you must be a Nurse with a current active NMC Pin**
As a Nurse your key duties include:
· To provide clinical knowledge, advice, support and information in relation to Pressure ulcers to all allied health care professionals, residents and their carers
· To support the other members of the Tissue Viability Team/Links in providing specialist advice and pressure ulcer management as well as participating in the setting of achievable standards and their maintenance within the service
· To assist the Head of Clinical Services with the formulation, implementation and monitoring of the Pressure Ulcer Policy ensuring that they reflect, current practices, are patient centered and in line with national or regional guidelines where relevant e.g. NICE guidelines
· To liaise with relevant staff disciplines regarding the discharge of patients with Pressure Ulcer requirements
· Ensure that all pressure ulcers have a Route Cause Analysis in line with national guidelines
· Ensure Care Plans reflect current available best practice, supported by research evidence where available
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
· Relevant post registration experience in tissue viability to demonstrate appropriate competencies and skills for the job
· Post-graduation qualification or equivalent portfolio evidence in tissue viability/wound management
· Excellent clinical skills and a passion to deliver excellent care in a rewarding and what can be emotionally challenging environment
· Experience in Policy Development and Implementation
