Mechanical Technician (154jc) – Inverurie, Aberdeenshire – up to £16.42 6-month temp to perm
A global player in the Oil and Gas sector and they are looking for a strong mechanical engineer for their Inverurie site for an initial 6-month contract which for the right individual could turn into a permanent role
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.
As Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for safely and accurately assembling and testing new K-Winch Products, consisting of any Wireline winches and wireline masts along with all accessories used along with this equipment. Ability to use hand tools safely including tube bending equipment. You will support and improve assembly of company ISE products through specific techniques as well as innovative idea generation and creative, efficient problem solving. You will support and assist your colleagues where required and report any health and safety improvements and infringements, stopping any operations you deem to be unsafe immediately reporting these to your Cell leader or line manager. You will follow all risk assessments and participate in all safety initiatives. It is essential that the quality of your work is to the highest standard, it is expected to be right first time on time.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist the Fabrication Team to carry out their daily tasks.
• Work to achieve high quality in the assembly of component parts
• Demonstrate a skillset using various hand tools
• Ensure production target output and quality is maintained
• Adherence to health and safety rules and regulations
• Maintaining production area housekeeping
• Minimise waste by using/disposing of raw materials and consumable items efficiently
• Work productively and safely in compliance with the Pipex px® BMS.
• Maintain good levels of workmanship and traceability (pxQ).

In return you can earn up to £16.42 per hour on a standard 37.5 hr shift, Mon – Thurs 0700 to 1530 hrs, and Fri 0700 to 1430 hrs and as stated this role could move to a permanent role at the end of the contract.
