The Job Role:

Working in a medical environment for a NHS Leading provider my client is currently looking to recruit a number of Domestic Cleaners to maintain a clean, safe and hygienic patient environment at the prestigious Private Hospital in Kendal.

You will be working has part of a team of 3 so will need to be courteous, helpful and efficient, ensuring high standards of customer care and demonstrating commitment to a positive patient experience.

As a domestic assistant you will carry out cleaning. This could include:

• High and low dusting, mopping, wiping and scrubbing surfaces.
• Cleaning of wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected and public areas.
• Ensure rubbish bins are maintained and removed when full.
• using spray cleaners
• cleaning hard floors with mops or electric floor cleaners
• using vacuum cleaners or carpet cleaners
• cleaning toilet and bathroom areas
• Any other associated cleaning task
• Maintain high hospital standards by ensuring all areas are clean, presentable and safe for visitors by following the required policies and procedures.
• Use equipment in accordance with the role following all Health & Safety guidelines.

You'll deal with routine cleaning which needs to be done on a daily or weekly basis as well as emergencies such as spills. You may also carry out regular, planned deep cleaning on a monthly or annual basis.

About you:

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never worked as a Cleaner before. What does matter to my client the most, is taking pride in what you do and a willingness to learn and go the extra mile.

This position is subject to a Disclosure & Baring Service check; costs met by the employer.

Able to work under pressure, individually and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business.

Clear written and spoken communication skills.

Reliable & Good time keeping.

What is on offer?

Our client is paying £ 9.00 per hour (payable monthly)

Holiday entitlement

Hours between 3:00pm – 7:30pm

Overtime maybe available to cover holiday and sickness period
