I am currently working with a technology solutions provider who, as part of its continued success and growth, are launching 2 next generation SaaS applications into the UK market next year and are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the team

As a DevOps/ Site Reliability Engineer you will work in a collaborative environment of 8 cross-functional agile teams providing deployment, release engineering and infrastructure engineering assistance in a small team of DevOps engineers. As part of this team, you will be responsible for progressively enhance the Azure based technology platform using skills such as Infrastructure as Code with terraform, Kubernetes, Elastic Stack and managed relational (PostgreSQL) and document (Cosmos DB) databases.

KEY SKILLS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: 

• Design and development of multi-tenanted, cloud based, software as a service using best-inclass infrastructure, release and operation engineering practices (infrastructure as code, 

• Continuous Integration and Deployment, Test and Release Automation) and the following 

• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure (Kubernetes, Cosmos DB, 

• Application Gateway, Service Bus, Key Vault, Container Registry, storage, networking) 

• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform

• Containerised web-based software build deployment using Docker, Helm and Azure 

• DevOps Pipelines. 

• Release engineering practices – development of dashboards showing status of 

environments and the software versions they contain.

• Infrastructure monitoring using tools such as Prometheus, Nagios etc.

• Log collection, analysis and visualisation using Elastic Stack (Logstash, Kibana, Grafana)

• Work and code management with Azure DevOps (boards, repos, pipelines, artifacts) or 

similar (e.g. Jira, GitHub etc).

• A solid understanding of fundamental technologies like TCP/IP, HTTP, and DNS.

• Knowledge of best practices related to security, performance, and disaster recovery.

These roles are being offered on a mainly remote basis, with visits to their Greater Manchester offices required twice a month.
