Ideal Recruit are currently working with a well established and reputable company who have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machinist Setter/Operator In Leicester LE4 area

The company are looking for CNC Machinist to join their Manufacturing Department and will be responsible for setting and operating various CNC machine tools.  

Working Hours: 

• Week 1 Monday - Wednesday 6am-6pm & Thursday 6am-2pm 44hpw ( hours can be adjusted to candidate needs)
• Week 2 Monday - Wednesday 6pm-6am 36hpw

Pay Rate: £9.50P/H-£9.97P/H (Depending on Experience) + overtime and paid break 

Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

Duties and Responsibilities

• Actively and diligently manage all machine control settings and making necessary adjustments 
• Interpreting engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
• Inspection of own work using a host of conventional measuring techniques (micrometers, verniers, height gauges etc.)
• Identifying continuous improvement opportunities
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with Company H&S Procedures  
• Monitoring consumables and raising internal requisitions for stock as required

Skills and experience required

• 1+ years' experience in a similar role
• Good literacy skills
• Attention to detail
• Commitment and want to grow with the company
• Strong work ethic
• A passion for operating machines
• A willingness to learn/train and improve skill sets
• Flexibility to work overtime as and when required

Candidates are required to pass the attached Literacy & Numeracy Test prior to being offered an interview – pass rate is 90%
