Coffee Machine Field Service Engineer (219jc) – London – up to £38k with £5k per year with OT
They are a market leader in the supply, installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial coffee machines across the UK and are now seeking to recruit a number of engineers for their London Operations.
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.
You will be reporting to the Regional Service Manager and Head of Service and Operations, and you will be responsible for field based technical support and maintenance of traditional coffee machines (bean to cup and soluble machines) and ancillary equipment in high street coffee shops and offices, working to the highest standards ensuring machines function correctly, ensuring high level of customer satisfaction.
Therefore, your responsibilities will include:
• Installation of coffee machines at customer locations.
• Attend faults, diagnose problems, and rectify coffee machines, coffee grinders, dishwashers, panini grills and ovens replacing electronic and mechanical parts as necessary.
• Undertake planned maintenance of machines.
• Order parts, replacement units as required.
• Complete electronic records and reports on services provided.
• Explain machine faults findings and repairs / actions undertaken to customers.
• Liaise with manager / customer services re installations / fault issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers.
• Educate customers on use / maintenance of machines.
• Undertake other tasks as required in accordance with competence and ability.
To be eligible for this role you will need:
• Driving licence, max 6 points on your licence
• Basic understanding of electricity and ability to understand equipment drawings / diagrams.
• Experience of maintaining electro-mechanical equipment or as an electrician.
• Basic plumbing knowledge.
• E-literate and competent in the use of PC/laptops/PDAs to acquire and manage information.
• Field service experience.
• Experience in maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Business to business service experience.
Full training will be given on the actual training in Coffee Machines operation and maintenance and in health and safety including, Health and safety awareness, Manual Handling, Electrical Safety, Plumbing & Filters, PAT Testing and Food Safety & Hygiene L2
The ideal candidate would be someone who likes being out in the field and who has a good all round mechanical and electrics skills set, but who can learn new systems and processes quickly.
In return they are offering a good starting salary for a basic 40 hrs week, with overtime payments for Saturday and Sundays as well as Bank Holiday working, 21 days holiday + Bank holidays, which can rise up to 27 days after 5 years’ service, and an on-call allowance, company van, which can be used for private mileage purposes, company pension scheme, as well as other benefits.
BUT if you are already an experienced Coffee Machine engineer, they will be able to offer a higher starting salary to match your experience.
