An amazing new job has opened for an Occupational Therapist to work within one of the UK’s leading providers of independent specialist mental health care across the UK. We are looking for a passionate and caring individual to help people on their recovery journey within an inpatient CAMHS Ward based in London.

 

You will be working with young people to support them through developed care pathways using the recovery approach. All the patients are at the centre of what our clients do and can co-produce their own treatment plans.

 

As an Occupational Therapist, your day to day duties will include:

·         Taking responsibility and ensuring provision of an effective and efficient Occupational Therapy service to an allocated group of patient

·         Contribute to the planning and development of the Occupational Therapy service throughout the hospital.

·         To provide assessment and interventions to adults with brain injury

·         To provide goal centred rehabilitation including building independence in daily living tasks and reintegrating into the local community (e.g. shopping, work experience and leisure)

·         To work closely with psychology to assess residents abilities and consider how areas of difficulty can be supported by the team

·         To be part of multidisciplinary team meetings and to contribute to care planning and mental capacity assessments

·         To provide training to the team as needed

 

An ideal Occupational Therapist must have these skills/qualifications as they are beneficial for this role:

·         A Degree in Occupational therapy

·         *State Registration (HCPC)

·         *Understanding of CPA process

·         *Previous experience of working with multidisciplinary service

 

The Registered Nurse’s position is full time for 37.5 hours per week and the successful nurse will receive an excellent annual salary of 27,000 PA plus generous benefits in return of all their hard work and commitment.  Benefits include:
