Software Engineer – London (Remote) - £75,000

Ada Meher is currently resourcing for an experienced Software Engineer to join their client, a successful software consultancy in London, who are looking to add to their Software Development resource to lead work on an upcoming greenfield project in the FinTech area. 

Because the client always strives to use a “best fit” approach to solve their client’s software requirements, this role presents the chance to get exposure to a wide variety of tech and is a great match for engineers who consider themselves polyglot. The current FinTech project requirement is rooted in Java/C# and Azure cloud but others involve Golang, Python, Ruby, Scala, AWS, Blockchain, AI and much more.

As a Software Engineer in this consultancy you will have the opportunity to get involved in highly technical projects right from the scoping phase through to delivery and implementation, giving a great breadth of experience and level of ownership across the full SDLC. 

The company work hybrid remote, with 90% of time spent at home and a fortnightly visit to the office in Central London. As such, this role can suit anyone from a wide-ranging number of towns and cities. 

The ideal candidate will have high level academic achievement with good algorithmic ability, as well as demonstrable experience in commercial Software Engineering, and be enthused by the chance to develop creative solutions to enterprise level problems. Given the consultative nature of the role there is plenty of opportunity for input from all levels on the design of the solution right from inception and a real chance for the right person to really make their mark.

To be considered:

• 2+ years commercial experience in Software Engineering (Java, C#, C++, Python, Ruby, Golang, Scala etc all acceptable)
• Experience working on code in production environments
• Knowledge of algorithmic patterns/logical problem solving
• Educated to PhD level
