An experienced consultant looking to shape and lead teams, a technologist looking to apply their skills to a different challenge, or a government operational user wanting to link your experience into the growth of capability

Experienced with agile delivery methodologies and potentially have experience of their application at scale
Keen to work with our offsite teams to help us better integrate a broad range of existing and new capabilities both within our business and supplier ecosystems
Willing to work on customer sites in London for 3-4 days a week, with your remaining time either in QinetiQ offices or remote
Currently hold the highest levels of UK Government clearance (or are eligible to obtain them. See here for more information: Gov.uk/Vetting)

Key Capabilities and Knowledge:
• Our Technical Consultant roles are difficult to define, given the wide range of work we find ourselves involved with.
• You may have experience as a Business Analyst or Business Change Manager alongside deep technical knowledge, or you may be an Engineer or Technical Architect who is looking to get involved in more client-facing work.
• You may have expertise in one or more of a wide range of relevant technical disciplines, for example, Cryptography or Cyber Security.
• You will have the ability to follow conversations and absorb information at relatively deep levels of technical complexity, then translate to business language for non-technical stakeholders.
• You may have experience of technical requirements management.

About you:
You will be passionate about technology, working closely with your customers and keeping the UK safe.
You may have a degree that may be in a related field.
You might not, but might instead demonstrate how you have trodden the path for yourself and gained the skills and experience required to be successful in this role.
Our Technical Consultant roles are fairly wide-ranging and we like our consultants to be flexible and well-rounded, so will assess each candidate’s experience and suitability on their own merit.

The successful candidate must hold a clearance at once of these 3 organisations, a green badge can only be held by candidates with clearances within these UKIC organisations.
1. MI5 (the Security Service);
2. MI6 (the Secret Intelligence Service);
3. GCHQ (Government Communications Headquarters);
