We have a rare and exciting opportunity within a rapidly expanding Technical Services department for an experienced Technical Manager, reporting directly to the Head of Technical Services you will be a fundamental part of the tech team ensuring, specialist technical support is provided internally and externally and imparting technical expertise and knowledge to engineers and partners.

Your Life as a Technical Manager
As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for a range of areas such Service Desk support and Training to name but a few. It is vital within this role that you are technically sound and have excellent organisational skills.
Our client believe that their people are the driving force behind their company success. Your objectives will be to reduce technical interventions by means of providing the highest level of training, support and ensure all opportunities to improve margins are explored.
Responsibilities as a Technical Manager
• Provide first line technical support to the service team ensuring issues are captured before they escalate, and margins are maintained and or improved upon. Ensuring customer satisfaction levels are maintained.
• Champion and implement in-house service training capturing end to end requirements, writing, and implementing material and delivering the training then ensuring standards are maintained throughout the business.
• Partner support & remote diagnostic providing training and support for their overseas partners ensuring they have the right tools, training, and information available.
• Capturing quality issues ensuring our non-conformance and ISO process is followed.
Your measures of Performance.
• Overall reduction in revisits needed on site for service. Drive margin up by reducing downtime on site and increasing our efficiency by identifying training gaps, process gaps and non-conformances with supplier products and acting on these accordingly.
• Increase in service revenue as part of a joint management team initiative.
• Reduction in technical support interactions.
Experience & Skills Required
• Electrical/Electronics Background
• Service Desk / Customer / Technical Support
• Broad (electrical) Technical knowledge/Technically sound (able to take ownership of the end-to-end technical process regarding the installation of security systems)
• Implementation & delivery of training
• Highly organised & process driven.
• A Quality Management & Health & Safety mindset (ISO qualifications beneficial)
