Job opportunity for a Nurse Qualified Unit Manager. As a Unit Manager you will be working in care home which is located in the Newham area of London. Highly trained, qualified nurses and care staff provide high quality 24-hour care to meet a wide range of needs. The home has separate units for residential care and for more complex nursing needs. Both also offer short-term care.

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of £17.50 per hour plus other generous benefits.

Responsibilities:

To manage the Unit and lead a team to ensure the delivery of excellent standards of care; promoting rehabilitation, independence and dignity, positively enhancing the lives of individuals in your care.

Requirements:

·         People management experience; the ability to lead and manage a team

·         Numerate and literate with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

·         Understands and effectively uses IT and communication systems required for the role

·         Able to analyse problems and propose solutions

·         Sensitive to and respectful of the values, views and needs of others

·         Able to effectively prioritise workload

·         develop internal and external business relationships based on mutual respect and professionalism

·         Ability to work under pressure whilst motivating their team

·         Encourages knowledge sharing and best practice

·         Experience of delivering nursing care within elderly health care sector

·         Experience of participating in quality and clinical governance programmes, including audit and care services

·         Leadership Management qualifications

You must be qualified as a RGN or RMN, and have relevant experience.
