GWO Inspection Technician (222ww) – Lowestoft - £170-£320 per day (DOE)

Having served the Renewables industry since 2009, a dedicated branch was launched last year to further enhance our solution-focused service offering to this sector.
Due to our continued success, our clients are looking to recruit an experienced GWO Inspection Technician to join our established team in Lowestoft.
Job Role
This exciting new role will report to the Inspection Manager providing management of daily operational requirements of both onshore and offshore sites to meet with industry health, safety, and environmental standards.
The GWO Inspection Technician will be primarily required to carry out thorough examination and load testing of equipment located on offshore wind farms.
The work will include statutory inspections carried out under UK and European legislation, ensuring the safety of offshore equipment, and maintenance and repair of WTG and OFSS crane equipment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Undertake asset inspections identifying both structural and material defects.
• Capture all required data to ensure full reporting can be completed.
• Undertake full document control of offshore inspection.
• Onshore based reporting and the production of report records.
• Build, maintain and develop onshore and offshore inspection records.
• Analyse information to offer solutions in line with industry best practice.
• Be available to travel and work away from home occasionally.
• Attend both Customers and third-party sites, both inside and outdoors in all weathers.
• Be available to work overtime as required.

To follow progressive inspection planning and ensure target timelines are maintained.
Ensure defects and variations are captured outside of normal scope of work and detailed to the Inspection Manager.
The ability to successfully perform all requirements of the job role to a high standard demonstrating adaptability to different tasks.
Good attention to detail displaying strong mechanical and technical skills.
Completion of time sheets, reports, checklists, etc.
Good timekeeping.
Be an effective communicator, working as a team and independently.
Produce quality reports as required and be IT literate.

• Confined Space (Medium/High Risk)
• Slinger Banksman
• ICM Inspection
• Latchways
• Compact crane
• LEEA or equivalent
• Clean driving licence and own vehicle.
• Quick thinking and solution orientated.
• The ability to interpret mechanical and technical requirements whilst understanding the importance of traceability and associated records.
• Possess the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment, following clear instructions safely and effectively.
• Prior experience in a similar mechanical or technical role with a minimum of 4 years offshore experience.
