An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Extended Scope Practitioner to work with one of UK's leading health care providers. As an Extended Scope Practitioner you will be working in an exceptional health care centre within the Luton area.

The service provides adults over 16 with advice and treatment for all musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions across the area. This service helps to treat a range of conditions, relating to muscles, joints, bones, tendons, ligaments and some nerve-related conditions

 

As an Extended Scope Practitioner your day to day duties include:

·         Working closely with a team of Extended Scope Practitioners and Physiotherapists, and well-supported by the management and administration teams

·         responsible for triaging and conducting advance assessments of complex musculoskeletal patients

·         You will make important decisions regarding the management of patient and refer for investigations as indicated

·         There'll be opportunities to be involved in clinical audits and to have a say in service improvement

·         You’ll maintain accurate records in line with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy standards, maintaining confidentiality, privacy and dignity of patients and share your experience and knowledge with other team members

·         You’ll care for patients and their families in the way that you believe is best

·         Delivering high service standards, sharing best practice, and actively improving the work.

 

An ideal Extended Scope Practitioner must have these skills and experiences as they are beneficial for this position:

·         You will be an experienced Physiotherapist with previous experience of working as an Extended Scope Practitioner desirable

·         Ideally trained in administration of corticosteroid injections

·         You will have strong communication

·         organisation skills

·         Flexible approach will ensure you deliver positive experiences to patients at every stage of their healthcare journey

To be considered for this position you must have a degree within the field of physiotherapy and be registered with HCPC
