Naval Support Lead (113jc) – Home Based South Coast – circa £70k + Benefits
My client who are a leading service company that delivers technical solutions to complex marine environments are now seeking a Naval Support Lead to cover primarily the Devonport and Portsmouth Naval bases, however other areas may be involved as well.

The role?
As a result of business growth, my client is looking for a Naval Support Lead. Reporting to the Head of Hydraulics, the role is to help identify, develop, and maintain commercial relationships in the Naval sector. The role will be responsible for company’s business planning and bidding priorities and will involve engaging with Naval dockyards regarding forthcoming work. You will be UK based with the ability to travel between areas such as Portsmouth and Devonport.
The primary focus will initially be to:
• Establish, build, maintain, and extend relationships including the provision of Outsourced Labour (OSL) and work packages, with the following Naval profitable business opportunities:
Current Builds:
• T26 on the Clyde
• T31 in Rosyth
• Submarines in Barrow
• FSS in Belfast
Current Support:
• Portsmouth
• Devonport
• Faslane
You are?
It is essential that you have detailed knowledge of Naval ships and submarines, particularly ME systems and WE systems where they include either hydraulics, air, chilled water or other pipework services. You will have demonstrable knowledge of the Common Support Model, the processes used to support Naval ships and Tier 1 contractors. You will also have demonstrable experience supporting client organisations, leading teams and have a strong commercial awareness. It is preferred that you hold a relevant degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar and be a member a of professional body and have the ability to hold Security Clearance.
The ideal candidate will be someone from a Royal Navy background and probably be Lt Commander or Commander, however other applications will also be considered especially if you come from a DE&S background and have a strong engineering back ground.
