Water Engineer Trainer/Assessor (118jc) – Home Based - £35 – 45k DoE + Benefits

This company who are a national training provider are now seeking to recruit several trainer/assessors to join them in delivery of a contract to the utilities water sector.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.

They are seeking a dynamic candidate with a military instructor background who can utilise their transferrable skills in a challenging environment to train Water Industry personnel. You will be a good communicator and ideally have a background in training and assessing qualifications. You will be both professional and customer focused in your approach and proficient in maintaining and expanding current relationships. You will have experience in producing and delivering learning to a diverse range of people including apprentices or soldier technical training programmes Class 2-1.

You will be home based but must be prepared to travel across the whole of the UK.

You will:
- Deliver high quality training programmes to a wide range of customers and learners
- Build quality training packages based on learning objectives and outcomes
- Monitor and maintain currency of delivery products
- Assess learners in centre and in the workplace
- Contribute to standardisation of qualifications
- Liaise with customers to develop and maintain relationships

Therefore, your Key Areas of Responsibility will include:
- Deliver quality learning packages against measured standards
- Build quality learning packages to meet specified objectives and outcomes
- Monitor and maintain delivery products
- Deliver best practice and standardisation of training and assessment
- Carry out observation of learners in centre and the workplace
- Judge diverse evidence produced by the learner against learning outcomes
- Judge learners progress against learning outcomes
- Contribute to standardisation of qualifications as part of the assessment team
- Liaise with Internal Quality Assurers
- Strive to attain and maintain an individual utilisation of 80%

The ideal candidate will have the following:

- Ability to use email, PowerPoint, and Word

Required experience and qualifications:
- Defence Train The Trainer (DTTT) with a Level 3 Award in Education and Training Certificate
- You will be required to provide a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- An Engineering background is preferrable with ability to adapt to Water Industry programmes
- Maths and English GCSE Grades A-C/4-9
- Full driving licence
- Understanding and application of Health and Safety

Desired experience and qualifications
- Assessor Qualification D32/D33, or A1 or TAQA equivalent or work towards
- Training material design and delivery
- Delivery of qualifications
- Delivery on apprenticeship or equivalent soldier training programmes
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications are not required but would be useful

The ideal candidate would probably be a SNCO/WO who has spent time at a trade training unit as an engineering instructor, preferably from a mechanical stand point and who is willing and able to spend significant time away from home, as you will be covering various locations across the UK and Northern Ireland, and my client is keen to find a NI based candidate, but the other areas are South Coast, Manchester/Liverpool region, and South East of England based in the Colchester region.

In return they are offing a good starting salary, with company pension scheme, car allowance and 31 days holiday (including Bank Holidays).
