**To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin**

As a Pre Assessment Nurse your key responsibilities include:

• Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for own actions

• Assess patients, according to the relevant pathway, to determine they are fit for their procedure prior to admission

• Maintaining accurate patient records via the pre assessment digital portal (Lifebox)

• Assist patients with the completion of their medical history on Life box where necessary

• Champion infection prevention and control in your daily work

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Have experience working in preoperative assessment

• Have evidence of continuous professional development and its application

• Have a good knowledge of clinical governance and its application

• Be an expert in building relationships with the ability to engage with consultants, colleagues and patients

• Experience of using electronic pre-assessment systems is desirable but not essential

The successful Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £29,000 - £30,000 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
