

Head of Frontend Development
I am working with an exciting Manchester based company who provides an award-winning and versatile platform for their unique client base as well as suite of additional services, all focused to putting people first. They are looking for a Head o Frontend Engineering to lead the rebuild of their web platform including defining the tech stack, standards, and an approach to QA automation.
A Head of Frontend Engineering you will be responsible for leading the team that will re-write and modernise their websites, whilst also ensuring they continue to deliver features as they re-platform. You will need to work closely with the business on meeting their requirements, whilst also making their customer facing site the most accessible and fastest experience possible. As well as leading the Frontend Team, you will be responsible for setting up governance and standards to ensure quality is embedded into the platform as well as championing web accessibility and UX as part of all development work whilst working with the QA team on an automated test strategy for the front end. You will be work closely with the business on estimating and delivering website features including developing a design system and component library promoting reuse where possible and collaborate with the backend team on the best way to deliver new features
To apply I am looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer with leadership experience and a passion for all things front end and accessibility. You will have over 5 years Frontend Development experience, including some experience of modern frameworks, e.g. React, Vue, Svelte, and meta frameworks, e.g. NextJS, Nuxt, Sveltekit. You will have Typescript experience as well as knowledge of QA automation, for example Jest, Vitest, Cypress, Visual Regression and some experience with CI/CD pipeline, e.g., CircleCI, GitHub actions, sonar.
This is a fantastic role where you will be a key player in the complete rebuild and rebrand of a leading website, as this is a lead role you will be expected to attend the office 1-2 days per week which is based right next door to Manchester Piccadilly station.
