Nurse Ward Manager
We are looking for Nurse Ward Manager to work with one of the UK’s leading healthcare provider. As a ward manager you will be working in highly reputable service within the Manchester.
We are looking for proactive, enthusiastic Ward Manager to lead our new unit, supporting the team in delivering therapeutic care to the women on our programme. the hospital patients will present challenging and complex needs, and our aim will be to promote a life worth living, with a supported return through their care pathway back into the community.
Set within landscaped gardens, the safe and supportive environment of the hospital offers a comprehensive inpatient specialist mental health service for young people and adults. The service is dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care and treatment for patients with challenging and complex needs, in order to enable their recovery and re-engagement with the community.
As part of its continual service development the hospital is opening an exciting new specialist service in 2018, providing care for female patients aged 18 years and over, with a diagnosis of emotionally unstable personality disorder. The 10-bedded unit is currently under construction and will offer a bespoke, modern environment in which to provide a full Dialectical Behavioural Therapy model of care to our patients.
The successful manager will be offered an excellent salary of £39,850 per annum plus other great benefits.
You will be responsible for the provision of high quality nursing care, whilst ensuring safe staffing levels, delivering excellent people management of your team, ensuring they are supported, engaged and nurtured. You will participate fully participate fully in the multi-disciplinary team, undertaking direct patient care as required. You will have dedicated supernumerary time to enable you to undertake your management responsibilities alongside clinical duties. You will ensure that your ward complies with statutory regulations, current legislation and meets quality standards. You will provide cover as Senior Nurse on Call as part of a rota.
In order to apply, you will be RNLD / RMN Qualified (NMC registered), with essential experience in leading ward teams. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with a patient-focussed approach and a commitment to delivering high quality care. Experience in working within a DBT model of care would be welcomed, although British Isles DBT training will also be available to the successful candidate.
