Unit Manager
An excellent job opportunity has arisen for a committed Unit Manager to work in an exceptional Care Home service based in Manchester. As a Unit Manager you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.
This special care home has an exceptional range of facilities spread out across five separate houses, each offering a different care option. One of the facilities provide dementia residential care, the second provides nursing dementia care, the third is the house for intermediate nursing care and the other offers general nursing care.
As a Unit Manager your day to day duties include:
· To promote, monitor and implement standards for patient care within the ward/unit environment, evaluating through clinical governance and audit.
· Provide clinical leadership, positive role modelling to the ward team, ensuring effective communication across the multidisciplinary team, through supervision, mentoring and appraisal.
· Ensure all CPA and risk assessment and HONOS is an integral part of the patients care and that it is monitored and updated on a regular basis.
· Develop and lead regular patient feedback mechanisms e.g. satisfaction surveys, outcome studies, community meetings.
· Ensure all staff and patient census data is completed efficiently and on time, and that patient data is recorded accurately on Medtrak, or similar database.
An ideal Unit Manager you must have these skills and be able to meet these requirements as they are all beneficial for this position:
· You must have previous experience in a management role
· You must have a proven track record in delivering good care results
· You must have a good understanding of CQC/CI and other regulatory bodies (DoLs/MCA)
· Able to show a can-do attitude always
The successful Unit Manager will receive an excellent salary up to £18.00 per hour and the annual salary for this position is for £39,312. This exciting position is a Full Time role for 42 hours per week with 6 Supernumerary hours working on Day shifts only.
