Ward Manager - Female PICU
An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Ward Manager - Female PICU to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Cheadle, Greater Manchester area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
The hospital is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence across 11 wards which include a speciality eating disorder service, CAMHS, rehabilitation, acute and PICU services
**To be considered for this position you must be qualified as an RMN Nurse with a current active NMC Pin**
As the Ward Manager your key responsibilities include:
· Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will lead a ward team, playing a key role in the ongoing development of this Specialist Service at the hospital
· Responsible for the provision of high quality nursing care, ensuring safe staffing levels and delivering excellent management of the people in your team, ensuring they are supported, engaged and nurtured
· You will participate fully in the multi-disciplinary team, with involvement in assessment, planning and evaluation of care but also undertaking direct patient care as required
· You will ensure that your ward complies with statutory regulations, current legislation and meets quality standards. You will provide cover as Senior Nurse on Call as part of a rota
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
· Evidence of continuing professional development
· Experience of clinical audit and/or service improvement based on evidence desirable
· Experience of working in an environment that requires the ability to manage multiple priorities
· Willingness to complete further clinical, managerial and leadership training and development relevant to your area of practice in management and leadership
The successful Ward Manager will receive an excellent salary of £43,017.98 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
