Senior Technical Security Countermeasures Officer (Tscm) (114dm) - Hanslope Park, Milton Keyne - £40,400 - £49,991 plus £1,750 location allowance
Our client, the FCDO Services, who support the UK Government across the globe are now seeking to recruit a Senior Technical Security Countermeasures (TSCM) Officer to join their team at Milton Keynes.
Based at Hanslope Park near Milton Keynes, MK19 7BH, with overseas travel and the flexibility of hybrid working (depending on business need).
Free onsite parking, or free shuttle bus is available between central Milton Keynes and Hanslope Park.

Key Accountabilities:
• Lead and motivate team members on overseas installation / construction security management / inspection teams at missions overseas and customer’s site locations
• Manage and carry out technical duties to meet customers’ needs and FCDO Services standards, including preparing equipment for planned inspection or installation trips, installing or maintaining equipment, preparing detailed written inspection reports within KPI requirements
• Lead on a wide range of R&D projects that include TSCM equipment development and the testing of security installations.
• Provide technical support, analysis and advice to colleagues, line management and customers on the options and recommend a course of action.
• Set the direction and scope of endpoint forensic investigations and determining projects researching technical security vulnerabilities
• Develop and implement safe systems of work, ensuring that staff co-operate with undertaking risk assessments and comply with health and safety policies and procedures, including the reporting and recording of accidents/incidents
• Maintain own professional development and expertise of the latest technologies, best practice to support, and grow the business

Essential:
• Level 3 qualification in STEM related discipline
• BCS Level 3 Infrastructure Technician and/or BCS Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist
• Experience of managing small teams
• Extensive experience of one or more technical protective security systems
• Demonstrate practical application of technical knowledge
Desirable:
• Interest in a wide range of practical technical skills i.e. electronics, IT / Networks, mechanics, construction
• Knowledge of construction security procedures and administration
• Interest in software development and programming
• Interest and understanding of Radio principles
• Full UK Driving license
• Level 5 qualification in STEM related discipline
• Member of a relevant professional body
