My clients in North Bucks have an immediate requirement for a Software QA Engineer: Web Monitoring.

This role is commutable from Milton Keynes, Newport Pagnell, St. Neots, Biggleswade, Sandy, Bedford.

My clients are a world leader in in the design, manufacture and continuous improvement of wireless condition monitoring solutions. Their technology is used in 35 countries in rail, construction and mining. More than 30,000 sensors were installed last year, helping users manage ground and structural movement, landslide risk, geotechnical behaviour, rail track movement and much more.

As a Software Quality Assurance (QA) engineer, you will be part of the Web Monitoring software team and involved with the development lifecycle to ensure product quality and usability.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, although are not limited to the following:
Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful QA feedback.
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities.
Design, develop and execute automation scripts.
Run exploratory and automated tests, documenting the results.
Identify, record, investigate, analyse and track bugs.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products.
Work with the team to identify system requirements.
Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience.

Candidates should assess their suitability against the following essential and/or desirable relevant knowledge and experience:

Essential:
Demonstrable proven experience in commercial software quality assurance.
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
Good knowledge of SQL and scripting.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject (or equivalent experience).
Good knowledge of SQL and scripting.

Desirable:
Experience with REST API, SQL, Selenium, Docker, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
