Lead Clinical Pharmacist
An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Pharmacist Lead to develop an in-house Pharmacy Service at 2 private hospitals in North Yorkshire and North Tyneside. You will be working for one of UKs’ leading health care providers
Both of the hospitals delivers a range of specialties including orthopaedics, general surgery, plastic surgery, urology, gynaecology, dermatology, oral, ENT, endoscopy, to both private and NHS patient
**To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Pharmacist registered with the GPC**
As the Pharmacist Lead your key responsibilities include:
• Clinical screening and services to clinical departments
• Procurement, audit, patient counselling and other associated pharmaceutical duties
• Attendance at relevant clinical governance meetings
• Providing advice to patients/carers and clinical staff on pharmaceutical products as required
• Adhering to GPhC Standards of conduct, ethics and performance
• Supporting clinical managers in providing effective training and competency review of registered staff
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• Sound written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
• Flexibility to work across the two sites
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be patient focused
The successful Pharmacist Lead will receive an excellent salary of £43,000 pro rata as it is in line with the hours of work. This exciting position is a permanent part time role working 30 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
