Pharmacy Technician
An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Pharmacy Technician to work in an exceptional authority service based in the Norwich area. As a Pharmacy Technician you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.
There are nurses that operate round-the-clock, nurse-led health care including prisoner screening on arrival and all primary care such as minor surgery, in-patient units and prescribing. They also coordinate a wide range of other service providers, such as GP practices, to provide seamless care.
As a Pharmacy Technician your day to day duties include:
· To undergo training for other specialised duties for example POD/SAMPOD, CD work etc. (this list is not exhaustive)
· To receive training in patient counselling associated with dispensary duties.
· To (if requested) supervise work of Student Pharmacy Technician(s) and Pharmacy Support Workers
· To ensure that personal competencies are achieved and maintained
· To work in a neat, orderly, safe and efficient manner
· To follow departmental procedures
· To assist in stock checks in the dispensary and stores
· To participate in in-service training
· To participate in continuing education
· To participate in rotas for late, weekend working and Public Holidays
An ideal Pharmacy Technician must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
· Strong analytical skills
· Ability to work independently and use initiative
· Good written skills, with the ability to produce reports, presentations and proposals
· Applies sound professional judgement to legal and ethical issues
· Proven time management skills, including the ability to prioritise and respond to requests in a timely manner
· High developed communication, interpersonal negotiating and influencing skills
The successful Pharmacy Technician will receive an excellent annual salary of up to £29,000 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:

To be considered for this position you must hold an NVQ 3 in Pharmacy or equivalent
