We have a new opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at Treatment Centre which is based in Plymouth. With the addition of a third theatre and a two suite endoscopy unit it is an exciting time to join us. Recently achieving an "outstanding" rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the treatment centre is the first independent sector treatment centre to achieve this and are in the top three per cent of hospitals in the country to receive this rating. The Treatment Centre offers high quality elective surgery for the local populations of Devon and Cornwall, specialising in hip and knee joint replacements, shoulder repair, hand and elbow surgery, foot surgery and minor orthopaedic procedures. We also deliver Ophthalmology, General and ENT surgery.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will be expected to deliver a high standard of patient care supported by evidence based practice.

Key duties will include:­­

• Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care as part of a collaborative programme of patient care
• Participating in integrated governance and risk assessment and its reporting as required
• Effectively communicating with all levels of staff throughout the treatment centre on a daily basis, including surgeons, anaesthetists, SSD and theatres

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Recent post registration experience

Desirable:

• Experience in an orthopaedic ward

Preceptorship may be offered to newly qualified nursing staff
