An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Band 5 Staff Nurse to provide high quality holistic care to children and young people in the Ashton-on-ribble, Preston area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers

 

You will provide key elements of the Healthy Child Programme and targeted care based on individual families’ needs as delegated by School Nurse, Health Visitor or Team Leader

 

**To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a RGN, RMN or RNLD with a current active NMC Pin**

 

As a Nurse your key duties include:

·         You will complete individual Health Assessments for children and young people identified as being open to Child Protection Plan or Child in Need Plan

·         Providing weekly drop-in sessions in High Schools within the locality

·         Providing training at pre-school age and to schools regarding management of complex health needs

·         Supporting the School Nurses in acting as a link to assigned schools

·         Developing internal and external relationships with wider stakeholders

 

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

·         Evidence of continual professional development

·         A passion for working with Children and Young People

·         Prior experience of working within community services will be beneficial

·         Experience of working in a team and inter-agency and collaborative working

·         Be motivated and enthusiastic

·         Able to support the senior registered colleagues as and when required

·         You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, and Excel
