One of the leading Healthcare providers is currently seeking a Clinical Lead Nurse to join a Care Home that is located in Preston.
The large bedded home specialises in providing nursing and social care for the frail and mentally infirm elderly. The home is stylishly decorated with spacious rooms for the comfort of the service users.
The successful Nurse will receive a competitive salary of £15.00 per hour with great additional benefits such as a holiday allowance, pension scheme, childcare vouchers, employee discounts and many more.
We are looking for someone who holds a current registration with NMC and has the legal right to work in the UK. You will also need to have a minimum of 3 years’ post qualification experience within a relevant field. You will be committed to enhance the specialist service with a positive and flexible attitude. As well as show leadership qualities and be willing to take ownership for the quality of care.
As the Clinical Lead Nurse you will have the responsibility for leading a team of nursing staff and ensure that the highest level of care is given, which promotes independence and dignity and positively enhances the lives of the service users.
Your main duties will be:
· Ensuring the delivery of quality care - continually assessing the residents’ needs and wishes, developing the service to enhance their quality of life.
· Championing independence and personal choice – developing, reviewing and updating care plans to meet the users changing physical, social and psychological needs.
· Building the positive reputation of the home and unit – liaise professionally with visitors, including family, friends and other external stakeholders.
· Ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines – risks are proactively managed and issues identified, investigated and resolved.
· Overseeing all aspects of medicine management – ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered.
· Conducting care audits – monitoring standards of care and take corrective action where appropriate.
· Promoting high standards of nursing care for you and your team, actively seeking ways to improve levels of service.
· Taking an active role in training for the team of nurses, working in conjunction with the training resources of the company to ensure that nursing staff are kept up to date with current practices and research led developments.
· Taking a leadership role for your team – ensuring all staff are supervised appropriately and rotas are in place to enable the smooth, efficient running of the business.
To be considered for this role you must be a qualified Registered Nurse with a current NMC Pin and a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar setting.
