RST/Security Guard (084dm) – Sevenoaks, Kent - £33,650 + Benefits

This private family estate which is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty are now seeking to recruit an additional RST/Security Guard to join their existing team due to retirement.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.

You will be reporting to the Security supervisor and being part of a team of 6 personnel your role will be to provide and maintain the integrity and security of the Estate.

Therefore, your day-to-day duties will include:
• Standard security duties, including patrolling the Estate.
• Controlling access to the Estate, Properties, and grounds
• Control and Patrol duties will be rotated during each shift.
• Maintaining the Security Log, detailing all events taking place during each shift such as incidents or visitors
• Responding promptly and appropriately to any security issues that arise, reporting all unusual circumstances and situations, as necessary.
• Opening and locking up of all property within the Estate.
• Taking part in fire drills; having a general awareness of fire safety and other health and safety knowledge
• Key distribution and security
• Answering the phone outside office hours

Your rota pattern will be:
• Shifts are 12 hours: 7am - 7pm and 7pm – 7am
• Pattern is 3 days on, 3 nights on, 3 rest days.
• Pattern includes weekends and public holidays.
• Average weekly working hours equate to 56 hours per week.

In return they are offering:
• Salary of £33,650 (£11.55 per hour)
• Discretionary bonus paid in December (usually equivalent to around 2 weeks’ pay)
• 23 days paid holiday per year plus bank holidays.
• 5% employer pension contribution
• Life Insurance (2 times annual salary)
• Uniform provided with cleaning costs.
• First Aid training will be provided, as will SIA renewals.

To be eligible for this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
• Previous security experience essential
• SIA qualified with knowledge of CCTV and alarm systems.
• Applicants should be extremely reliable with an impeccable attendance record.
• Must be self- motivated and able to use own initiative and work without supervision.

The ideal candidate would be someone who is looking for a solid RST role and a predictable work pattern, who is comfortable withing with a very small team as this is a low-profile post with very little interaction with the principle and family.
