An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Senior Nurse to work with one of UK’s leading healthcare providers. As a Senior Nurse you will be working with highly reputable service based in Southampton.

This special hospital one of the country’s leading centres for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and stress. They also provide expert outpatient treatment for eating disorders.

As a Senior Nurse your day to day duties include:

•Responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans.

•Participating in a range of assessments including risk and self-harm.

•Supervising a designated number of Health Care Assistants and students.

•Assisting in standard setting and evaluating quality outcomes.

•Being expected to take charge of the ward/unit in the absence of the person with continuing responsibility, under the direction of senior staff.

•Working as a Primary/Named/Key Worker advising and supporting junior colleagues.

•Maintaining good standards of communication, both oral and written, in accordance with NMC guidance.

•Responsibility for reporting to the Ward Manager any circumstances that may affect the delivery of care and/or efficient running of the ward.

•Providing supervision to other staff, qualified and unqualified.

•Ensuring the security of the unit and all who use it and that policies and procedures are in place and followed.

 

An ideal nurse must have the following skills as they are beneficial to this position:

·         Understanding of care planning processes and be fully familiar with clinical assessment tools

·         Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

·         Able to work within a team as well as independently

·         Be able to demonstrate initiative and be adaptive and flexible.

·         Able to show a can-do attitude always

 

The successful Senior Staff Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £29,500.00 PA. This exciting position is part time for 23 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
