Utility Surveyor (229jc) – Stafford – up to £28k depending on experience + benefits.

They work collaboratively to achieve success and are developing innovative solutions to their clients’ needs providing surveys in traditional Computer aided design (CAD), Geographical Information System (GIS) and Building Information Modelling (BIM). We have been involved in projects such as, Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport, HS2, Silvertown, British Library, Olympic Park, Gatwick Airport and Hinkley Point C.

Due to this continued growth, they are looking for a Utility Surveyor to join our team.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Working with modern survey methods and survey devices such as total stations, GPS and data collectors.
• Accurately and consistently record underground utility assets and manhole inspection reports.
• Provide the Project Managers and CAD Operators with completed utility survey reports in line with company and industry standards.
• Building and maintaining client relationships ensuring we deliver to their client’s expectations.
• Assisting with detailed field and office surveying assignments.
• Checking the quality of information collected on site, and the successful transition to deliverables.
• Ensure that all survey kit is maintained and well kept.
• Take responsibility for other surveyors and junior team members whilst onsite and in the office.
• Any other duties as required by the business.

Experience/Requirements:
• This can be a fast-paced environment that changes quickly, so candidates need to be able to adapt to change and prioritising workloads.
• They are seeking someone who can multi-task, be adaptable and become a valuable member of the team.
• Experienced in use of Electromagnetic location and ground penetrating radar, along with GOS/GNSS acquisition.
• A good understanding of common industry practices and standards in regards to utility detection, such as PAS 128 and TSA
• Good working knowledge of surveying equipment, such as GPR, CAT and genny utility detection equipment
• Flexibility to travel to our sites nationwide.
• Able to work collaboratively in a team and deal with clients on site.
• CCTV/ Drainage Operatives willing to learn surveying skills will also be considered
• Clean & Full driving License

Desirable:
• CSCS Card folder (This will be required before starting work)
• Total Station Experience
• GPR Post Processing Experience
• AutoCAD / N4CE experience
• Topographical Surveying Experience
• Laser Scanning Experience
• QCF Level 3 or Level 5 for utility mapping

In return they are offering an excellent starting salary of up to £28k depending on experience as well as 23 days per annum plus bank holidays (Thy have a shutdown between Christmas and New Year, and you will be required to take holiday from your annual allowance during this period. You will be notified each year of the dates of annual closure), 40hrs per week, Private Medical and Life Insurance and company perks as well as Workplace Pension Scheme (statutory contributions)
